Every event in our lives exists in part as rational and in part as emotional memories. It is our capacity to balance our thoughts between those faculties, that define our thoughts and actions.
It is not experience that matters, but how we
choose to respond.
To add another interesting twist, the more emotional our thoughts, the less free space we have in our working memory to think rationally and solve problems.
The Blueprint for Success coaching style works directly with these traits, drawing on recent research into Neuroscience, and combining it with the paradigm of Emotional Intelligence, to foster the leadership skills that are paramount at every level of an organization.
As coaches our primary aim is to:
- Help our clients recognize that they need to change their thinking, in order to achieve a particular outcome or goal.
- Help them identify what behaviours and habits need to change.
- Help them overcome resistance to change.
- Ensure that the change becomes a permanent fixture in their lives by ensuring their attention is focused on their solutions.
In doing this we catalyze the process that bridges the gap between thought and a new habit. We create the habits that become a Blueprint for Success.
Coaching is not about solving problems, coaching is about creating solutions.
